Airport faqs
How will I identify my chauffeur at the airport?
Outside the baggage claim, your driver will be holding a tablet displaying your name / name of the booking. Additionally, your contact information will be shared with your chauffeur, as will theirs with you.
Will my chauffeur be there if my flight is early or delayed?
Yes, our dispatch office and chauffeurs keep an eye on your flights to make sure your chauffeur arrives on time.
What can I do if my flight is severely delayed and I have no new flight details?
Please update us as soon as possible. Also, update us as soon as new flight information becomes available. This can be done over the phone.
How long does it take to get to central London from Heathrow airport?
Approximately 60 minutes. This can vary depending on the time of day, the volume of traffic, etc.
How long does it take to get to central London from Gatwick airport?
Approximately 80 minutes. This can vary depending on the time of day, the volume of traffic, etc.
What happens if the details of my flight change?
Please update us as soon as possible. This can be done over the phone.
Are parking and tolls included in the prices?
Yes, our prices are all inclusive.
How early should I arrive at the airport before my flight?
Unless you are flying domestically, you should typically plan to arrive 2–3 hours before takeoff. In any case, confirm this with your airline.
Chauffeur faqs
Will the chauffeur go above any speed limits?
Nope, it’s against the law.
Will the chauffeur drive carefully?
Most certainly, it’s their duty!
Will the chauffeur respect my privacy and confidentiality?
Yes, our chauffeurs have signed a confidentiality agreement. Whatever conversations are had in the vehicle never leave the vehicle.

At all times, our chauffeurs will be discrete and courteous. The driver will happily answer any queries or engage in conversation if the guest so desires.
Can my chauffeur use a phone while driving?
Our chauffeurs will never use their phones in their hand whilst driving. Although they may have it on a phone holder with a navigation system on.
Will my chauffeur open doors for the passengers?
Of course, unless you beat them to it!
Can my chauffeur help me with my luggage?
Our chauffeurs will always offer to help passengers with their luggage.
Will my chauffeur wear a suit and tie?
Yep, our chauffeurs wear full dark coloured suit with a shirt and tie. During hot seasons they may take their blazers off in the car and during the cold seasons they may wear a smart overcoat.
Vehicle faqs
Can I expect my vehicle to be clean?
Of course, It’s why you chose a ridealux over other means of transport!
Can I expect my vehicle to be safe?
Our first goal is always safety. All our vehicles undergo MOT’s every 6 months. They are also routinely maintained in accordance with the specifications set out by the manufacturer for that specific vehicle. Daily checks of the oil, coolant and tyre pressure are also the chauffeur’s responsibilities.
Will there be wifi on board the vehicle?
Yes, please ask your chauffeur for access.
Will there be water on board the vehicle?
Of course! If you don’t see any bottles on display, please ask your chauffeur who will provide it for you from their inventory.
Will there be phone chargers in the vehicle?
Our vehicles have lightning cables, micro usb’s & usb-c type charging cables on board.
What age are your vehicles?
Typically, no older than 4 years in age.
Is the car non-smoking?
All our vehicles are non-smoking.
Do you allow me to eat and drink in the car?
As we do provide water on board, you can drink in the vehicle, however, we do not allow eating on board.
Can I select a particular colour for my vehicle?
Majority of our vehicles are black. We do have some silver & blue. You can leave a note of which colour you would like to request but this will be subject to availability.
Do your vehicles feature on-board entertainment?
All our vehicles have cd / radio on board. If you would like to connect your mobile, please ask your chauffeur. Some of our higher spec vehicles do have rear screen entertainment.
What amount of luggage fits in the back?
Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, & Range Rover can fit 2 cases + 2 carry-ons.
The E-Class & 5-Series can fit 2 cases + 2 carry-ons.
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class can fit 6 cases + 4 carry-ons.
These are all only approximations as baggage can vary in size and form, which can determine how much can fit. Please get in touch with us to discuss your precise requirements if you’re unsure.

How early should I make a reservation?
Aim to make your reservation as soon as your travel arrangements are decided. In the event of a high season, the more time the better. Although we have successfully completed bookings in less time in the past, the more time the better.
Can I set up an account/pay by invoice?
Yes, please contact us or use our online portal to create an account with us.
Are children included in the number of passengers?
Yes, please inform us if they require any car seats.

I’m bringing a baby; do you provide baby/child seats?
Yes, we do provide child seats, please specify in your requirements which child seat you require and for what age.
Pricing faqs
If I go into the congestion charge zone, will I have to pay more?
No, our prices are all inclusive.
Do you offer discounts if I request a lot of cars or book regularly?
Yes, we do, please set up an account, contact us and our team will be happy to discuss your needs.
Is there any additional fee for christmas or bank holidays?
We do add a price surge for Christmas and new years day, but not bank holiday or others.
